See the babies and Charlie swaying? They are hissing to try to frighten me away, in case I’m a predator. Lucky for them, I am not, because the sway-hiss routine is not at all scary! :-)

Watching the birds bathe is a lot of fun, because they enjoy it so much! At least, Cadie and Charlie do. They hop in and out and delight in bathtime. Sometimes, Cadie tries to bathe in the droplets from the water bottle, as she’s doing at the beginning of the video. That never works out too well for her, so into the tub she goes!

The babies haven’t figured out how to take a good bath yet. Lookit Toby drinking the dirty bathwater! Reggie was in the nestbox during the making of this video, but I can tell you exactly what he does. He just stands up really tall in the tub and looks pleased with himself, the goof.

This summer, our cockatiels, Reggie and Charlie, had a bunch of babies. Suddenly, our flock numbered nine birds instead of three. This really annoyed our budgie, Cadie! The hatchlings were so precious that we had to keep one, despite Cadie’s complaints. We named him Toby. The others, we gave away to good homes.

This blog will allow the flock ‘o tiels (and their budgie friends) to stay in touch with each other. Please visit often!
