Jackie Born: January 2002 Brought home: March 2002 Type: Light green (normal) Budgie Sex: Female Background: Jackie was brought home in early March of last year, and was our very first budgie. We named her Jackie after one of our favourite movie stars, Jackie Chan. Now, I know what you’re thinking, why name a female bird after a male character, well, at the time when we first received Jackie we thought she was a he. The pet store from where we got her claimed that she was a he, and a couple months later, we were proven wrong! But she is still a sweetie. Over the summer we went away for 2 months, and unfortunately lost all of Jackie’s trust. But now we are beginning to get it back again! Fun facts: Jackie loves to play with her toys and loves to sit on her swings. She enjoys eating seed and lettuce and anything new we like to try to feed the birds. She also likes to take baths with Lucca and they like to preen each other. But her favourite place is in the highest part of her tree on top of her cage, and overall she is the leader of the pack
